Wind is a powerful force that helps our civilization by generating electricity and dispersing toxic air pollution. However, it can also pose significant dangers to our safety. We will explore the many roles wind plays in our lives—from indoor air turbulence to severe wind shear at airports, devastating tornadoes, hurricane and citywide blackouts.
