Anthony Daniels is an English actor and mime artist. He was educated at Giggleswick School and studied law for two years at university, then dropped out to participate in amateur dramatics and attend Rose Bruford College. After leaving the college in 1974, Daniels worked on BBC Radio and for the National Theatre of Great Britain at The Young Vic.

Whilst working in the theatre, he was invited to meet director George Lucas, who was casting for STAR WARS. Since them he is best known for playing iconic protocol droid C-3PO in Star Wars franchise. He is the only actor to work on all twelve theatrical Star Wars movies. As C-3PO in STAR WARS: EPISODE I – IX, ROGUE ONE: A STAR WARS STORY, STAR WARS: THE CLONE WARS and, briefly, as Tak in SOLO: A STAR WARS STORY.

Anthony Daniels has been involved in many of the Star Wars spin-offs. Amongst other events, took part in the Oscar Ceremonies, voiced his animated figure as the pilot in Disney’s ride, and had his own cartoon series, DROIDS. THE CLONE WARS, LEGO – THE YODA CHRONICLES, DROID TALES and REBELS are some of the other animated series he has voiced.

He was the voice of Legolas in the Ralph Bakshi animated adaptation of THE LORD OF THE RINGS. He has appeared intermittently on British television in various dramas.

Anthony is a visiting tutor at Carnegie Mellon University’s Entertainment Technology Center. He is the proud holder of a Blue Peter Gold Badge.
