Jamie Waylett is a British actor born in Kilburn, London. At the age of nine, he was involved in a serious car accident and was initially expected either not to survive or to suffer severe brain damage. He made a remarkable recovery, surprising doctors with his resilience.
While attending Emmanuel Primary School, Waylett’s photograph was taken as part of a general audition process for the Harry Potter film series. Although he was first considered for the role of Dudley Dursley, he ultimately auditioned in front of director Chris Columbus and was cast as Vincent Crabbe.
As Vincent Crabbe, the loyal Slytherin companion of Draco Malfoy, Waylett appeared in nearly all installments of the Harry Potter, apart from the final two films. His role made him a recognizable part of one of the most successful film franchises in cinema history.
