Josh Herdman is an English actor and mixed martial artist. Born in Hampton, London, he was educated at Orleans Park School and began acting at the age of seven. He rose to international recognition at thirteen when he was cast as Gregory Goyle, the loyal sidekick of Draco Malfoy, in Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone. He went on to portray Goyle in all subsequent installments of the Harry Potter, becoming part of one of the most successful film franchises of all time.
Beyond the wizarding world, Herdman appeared in Robin Hood (2018) alongside Taron Egerton, Jamie Foxx, and Jamie Dornan. He was also seen in the Star Wars series Andor, where he portrayed one of the Imperial prison guards.
In addition to his acting career, Herdman is a dedicated mixed martial artist. After five years of training in Brazilian jiu-jitsu, he made his amateur MMA debut in 2016 in Romford, earning a decision victory. His move into MMA was driven by his passion for sport and a desire to pursue new professional challenges.
